I understand that there<\/em><\/strong> will be no cuts to the arts in this year’s budget. Councilmembers have said, and I paraphrase,\u00a0“Arts<\/em><\/strong> spending exposes low-income residents to life changing experiences.” Then these same councilmembers<\/em><\/strong> vote to charge those same low-income residents parking fees in Balboa Park to be exposed to the arts. That<\/em><\/strong> makes sense.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
