The unintended consequences of <\/span><\/i><\/b>actions by SDPD in closing Interstate 5 for eight hours must be addressed by public policy decision <\/span><\/i><\/b>makers. Notwithstanding the actions of that fateful day, sitting in traffic can kill you. While San Diego<\/span><\/i><\/b> continues to over build and hence continues to create more traffic jams, we are essentially killing <\/span><\/i><\/b>ourselves. Unless local leaders find a way to mitigate and eliminate traffic jams throughout our city, we will <\/span><\/i><\/b>see increased mortality rates and a worsening of health spans within society.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n
