They provided French pastries and gourmet coffee on a small table as a Left Bank cafe in <\/span><\/i><\/b>Paris. Francoise Gilot married to Jonas Salk funded a larger venue on Pearl Street some years later.
This<\/span><\/i><\/b> fascinating bookstore is still open and home to the La Jolla Historical Society.
